I found a copy of wallet on my computer but I get an error when I try and open the file, see attached. I tried 1, on another computer but no luck. I would copy it to a jump drive and then delete everything. But I wouldn't be deleting anything in there just in case it proves useful later. You really could use a clean data directory at this point. But my suggestion 1 above is basically doing suggestion 2 as well. I really think my suggestion 2 above would do wonders to clear up and try to start over fresh. Which goes back to my one of my other questions - where is your original default_wallet ? Did you ever make a backup of it? which means you are on the 7th or 8th iteration of the wallet. In your initial document you posted with a screenshot. If it's not your anti virus - it might just be the computer you are on is wacky Regarding the Electrum TOR wallet not opening - if 'nothing happens' - my guess would be your anti virus / windows defender is blocking it. I would probably be trying every version, even though some of the older ones might not have the servers, if you read one of my comments on #613, search for "nutshell", and you can probably edit the available servers that way There are a bunch of different versions of Electrum XVG here: Then re-open electrum and try to import the seed. Make a backup of everything in your AppData\Roaming\Electrum-XVG folder to a jump drive. I would maybe try is restoring the electrum seed to a different computer and see if you have better results. If you are using the non-tor, try the Tor. keep in mind there are 2 different Electrum wallets out there. not the one you have nowĪs Justin said earlier. The problem I have is that I can't remember the password to the original wallet so I created a new one using the address where my verge is. I have the seed but when I restore using the seed only the transaction for 4.9 transfers over, the other transactions don’t show. But be extra careful with securing the private key, because that's all anyone would need to steal your stuff. so you never have to worry about passwords, seeds, etc. make sure you know the private key associated with DMCvDC圜suwX4p6WCtuQWEmXfaq4A4ujjj. If your funds go to DMCvDC圜suwX4p6WCtuQWEmXfaq4A4ujjj. and for extra safety, you can keep track of your private keys. The best you can really hope for is to learn from this experience and make sure you fully remember your seed
